This is the travel blog of our group mascot, Jill the Steiff Bear. Jill is the very essence of the group and is so named after our Founder’s mum, Jill Hampshire. You can read all about Nicola’s journey through grief which started with the loss of her mum and how Morley Grief Group was born in the Our Story page.
Jill, like any other self-respecting traveller, wants to see the world and has an ever-growing bucket list of locations and experiences. An A-Z of travel, if you will. If you are able to accommodate Jill on one of your travels, please let us know. Jill has her own passport and comes with her own suitcase.
Jill’s first trip was, of course, to Filey, on the East Coast of Yorkshire, which was one of Jill’s favourite locations. Here are some photographs of Jill’s exploits whilst there.
Perhaps I should clarify that this wasn’t technically Jill’s first outing. I can hardly bring myself to own up to the fact that poor Jill was abandoned in the Commercial Inn on Churwell on Saturday 14th December and stayed overnight on her own. Luckily, Jill was recovered the next morning without any trauma.
